We are on the look out for staff for our upcoming busy summer months and also have positions available for immediate start so if you genuinely thrive from interaction with a wide variety of people and find the Redwoods in Rotorua to be your “happy place”, then we want to hear from you.
Based in the world-renowned Whakarewarewa forest, we like to think it’s a pretty amazing place to work. There are not many places you can mountain bike to work down some of the best trails in the world and then after, pop over the hill for a swim in the blue lake to round out your day. The staff are pretty choice too!
About the role:
Greeting people and providing information on the Redwoods themselves, flora and fauna, history and the stories of the land is a core part of the role. We have the Day Walk and Nightlights and can get pretty busy during peak periods, so being willing to work longer days, evenings and finishing late is a requirement. The Health and Safety within our business is award winning and our number one core value. To uphold these standards, Treewalk staff play a critical role in the inspection of infrastructure and training for non-routine situations. We also consider ourselves stewards of the land and take a wider role to ensure the forest is kept how it should be and enjoyed by everyone.
About you:
We need team players who love the outdoors, are willing to work in all weather and are fit and able. Additionally you will treat our guests’ safety and experience as paramount.
Successful candidates will have:
We encourage diversity and are looking for staff that reflect the community that we live in.
Being a tourism operation, our peak times are weekends and holidays. Successful candidates will be available to work these times.
