Alpine Guides is the longest-established mountain guiding company in NZ, offering adventures throughout the Southern Alps. We need an Office Administrator. You’ll be a key part of a small team, and one of the first points of contact for the business.
You should have excellent customer service skills, used to dealing directly with the public. You’ll need to be fluent in written and verbal communication and experienced with computer reservation systems. Ideally, you’ll be able to work unsupervised and apply yourself to any job. “Multi-tasking” should be second nature.
The role best suits a person with outdoor recreation interests, like tramping, skiing, and climbing, but there is no requirement for any degree of skill. You need to live in Mount Cook Village, or commute in from Twizel. We provide daily transport from Twizel. Working from home, around “weather” days, gives the role some flexibility.
You must be able to work on a roster that includes working weekends and public holidays. We pay a decent wage that will reflect experience and is reviewed annually. Assistance with accommodation in Mount Cook may be provided if required.
