Senior Guide Full Time

Marlborough Sounds Adventure Co is located in Picton and provide sea kayaking, walking and mountain biking activities, ranging from a couple of hours to multiple days. In addition we also have a substantial education program running activities for visiting school groups.

We are looking for a Senior Guide to join our team on full time, fixed term contract from October 2025 to April 2026 (exact start/finish dates to be arranged)

This role is varied and includes (but not limited to);
• Guiding
• Safety Briefings
• Equipment Maintenance
• Assisting with base management
• Assisting with coaching and mentoring of guides
• Base Operations
• Senior Leadership of guides and point of contact for group excursions.

You will be required to have the following experience and skills:
• Commercial guiding experience -3 years minimum
• Previous sea kayaking experience or kayak qualification equivalent to NZOIA Level 2
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Full Drivers License

This role is guaranteed minimum average 30 hours per week on a rostered basis, including weekends, pay rate is $26.70 – $30 per hour.

Appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and Police vetting.
