Canyoning Guide with common sense approach to safety and a passion for the outdoors is required for our small canyoning company in Thames, Coromandel. The position requires the successful applicant to be punctual, honest and have great work ethic for looking after people and places whilst guiding customers through one of the country’s premier adventure tourism activities! Good communication skills is key and an understanding of managing risk in a real outdoor environment is essential. The job will require pre-trip preparation – meet & greet and inform customers of risks involved – have good rigging skills and personal abseil and rope skills. Canyonz does provide all training and equipment and mentors training guides through the various stages to a senior leadership position. The position is on a contractual basis and daily rates are paid dependant on skillset obtained – rates are typically between $30 – $40 per hour.

NOTE: Canyonz operate activities all year round but our busier part of the year is from November – April. Options are available for winter season contractual work also to supplement yearly income.
