Experienced Cycle Tour Guide / Host – Hawke’s Bay – Part-time, fixed term SUMMER Part Time NEW

Part-time and Fixed Term (summer).

We’re looking for an experienced guide to join our team delivering guided cycling experiences through Hawke’s Bay. We’re looking for someone who loves people, loves cycling and knows how to make a group of guests feel completely looked after from the moment they arrive until the final goodbye.

Tākaro Trails Cycle Tours runs guided e-bike experiences through some of the most beautiful scenery in New Zealand — coastal trails, wine country, and everything in between. We work with cruise ship visitors, groups, and multi-day touring guests, and we need a brilliant guide to help make every ride unforgettable.

We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have previous guiding, tour-leading or outdoor tourism experience
Are a confident and enthusiastic cyclist
Are warm, engaging and genuinely enjoy meeting people
Can confidently lead and host a small group over several days
Stay calm and practical when plans change
Are organised, reliable and safety conscious
Have a great knowledge of New Zealand and enjoy sharing local stories
Understand that the little things can make a holiday unforgettable
Experience with e-bikes, multi-day tours, wine tourism or Hawke’s Bay would be a bonus.

A full NZ driver’s licence and Passenger License is required (or able to apply for a P license) as well as a First Aid qualification. Flexibility across weekdays and weekends is a must.

Extra work available for the right applicant – driving self-guided tours, shop management to make this a full-time position.
