Y Central Inc
Not rated yetWe are building our team of instructors/educators to work with us through the 2022/2023 summer season. Whether you are just beginning your outdoors journey, or you are a seasoned outdoor educator, our broad range in programs means there will be something for you.
As part of this new team you will have the opportunity to guide and develop our participants and influence their learning through the outdoors. We are looking for anyone who has a passion for people and the outdoors, is motivated about personal development of themselves and others and shares our vision of using the outdoors as a tool to strengthen.
Because of the large nature of our scope, Y Outdoors instructors are required to perform many different tasks including instructing multiple activities with a wide age range of participants, hosting groups, site readiness tasks such as cleaning, gear management and safety checks, performing day and night duties as necessary, and a host of other responsibilities that help keep Y Outdoors running smoothly.
Instructors are also required to work across multiple sites (we have bases in Wellington and Tongariro) for the duration of the season, however, we do try and have a home base for instructors that live locally to one of those locations.

ZORB Rotorua
Not rated yetThe experience of rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball has been an iconic New Zealand bucket list adventure experience since Andrew and David Akers invented and developed the first operation in the world back in 1995 on this very site. With four different tracks to choose from, ZORB is the perfect opportunity to let your inner child come out to play. Think of it like a giant water slide, 40 litres of (warm) water, slipping and sliding - there is no tumbling involved just full on belly laughs from top to bottom. To this day, Rotorua is the ONLY location in New Zealand where you can experience this amazingly fun and bizarre bucket list activity.

Aspiring Guides
Tour Guide
Not rated yetAspiring Guides is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced guide/host to lead groups in the stunning Mt Cook region. Share the area’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes while delivering unforgettable day experiences. If you love connecting with people and have a passion for Mt Cook's natural beauty and heritage, this is your chance to inspire and educate in one of New Zealand’s most iconic destinations. Trips run 1-2 times a week in the high season and 1-2 times monthly in the shoulder season.
This role is orientated to the softer skills of guiding. Applicants do not need to be mountain guides, although some experience would be advantageous. Connecting with people, love of the area and sharing a range of information - cultural, environmental and deep history - are the key components.
