Hard Ice Guide Full Time NEW

Alpine Guides would love to hear from NZMGA-qualified Hard Ice Guides (HIG), to join us either for seasonal or full-time work at Aoraki Mount Cook.

Applicants must have current:

• NZMGA HIG qualification
• PHEC (pre-hospital emergency care)
• NZ Residency or a valid work visa
• A full NZ Drivers License

You must be, a good communicator and be able to think independently. Being a team player, with a focus on safety is critical.

Your main role will be guiding helihike guests on Haupapa Tasman Glacier. We also expect our HIGs to support, supervise, and help upcoming trainee guides on their HIG pathway, and assist with general operations at base. We also offer longer, more complex days on the ice for small groups, which helps provide a variety of interesting work for our glacier guides.
