An exciting opportunity has become available for an Outdoor Education Instructor/Technician to join Nayland College’s renowned outdoor education programme. From bushcraft and rock climbing to whitewater kayaking and alpine missions, you’ll help students grow.
Start Date: Term 1, 26 January 2026 (negotiable)
Contract: Permanent. 36 hours a week, 40 weeks a year + 4 weeks of annual leave. Overnight allowance up to 46 nights a year, under Support Staff Agreement

Nayland College offers one of New Zealand’s leading Outdoor Education programs, from Year 9 through to Year 13.
Set among stunning scenery and three nearby National Parks, the programme integrates tikanga Māori, fostering respect for te taiao. Our goal is to spark a lifelong passion for the outdoors.
