As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As an Assistant Manager at Electric Bike Rotorua, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store. You’ll work closely with the store manager to support day-to-day operations, lead a team, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within the company, with the potential to transition into a Manager’s role as we expand and develop our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Support: Assist in managing and setting the benchmark for the team to follow in providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive store environment. Sales & Customer Service: Drive sales through promotion , recommending products, and continually developing personalized shopping experiences for our customers. Inventory Management: Support with stock ordering, organization, and managing stock levels as well as exploring the latest electric bike models, parts and accessories. Store Operations: Assist in daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards. Training & Development: Help train and mentor junior team members, ensuring everyone is knowledgeable about our products and services. Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries and concerns, working with the team to resolve any issues promptly and effectively. Reporting & Administration: Assist the manager in preparing reports, tracking sales goals, and handling administrative duties as needed. Pathway to Management: We believe in nurturing talent and promoting from within. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be given the training, support, and mentorship needed to develop into a manager’s role. Over time, you’ll gain more responsibility, oversee additional aspects of team management, and have the opportunity to contribute to strategic decisions that shape the growth of Electric Bike Rotorua.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail management or team leadership (experience in the bicycle or outdoor industry is a plus). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Enthusiasm for electric bikes and outdoor adventure. A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for learning and developing new skills. Basic knowledge of inventory and sales reporting systems. Retail, tourism and bicycle mechanical experience is beneficial Ability to lead by example and motivate others to perform at their best. Why Join Us?
