Jump feet first into an epic bungy activity career with the originals – Taupo style!

Queenstown Bungy Ltd have 2 Jump Master roles available at our spectacular North Island Taupo Bungy site [Waikato Region]. A  5 min drive from Taupo town centre, on a cliff above the Waikato River [202 Spa Road, Taupo].

Permanent employment, 30 hours minimum guaranteed per week plus additional work hours available at busy times.  Rostered to work 5 days each week (Sunday through Saturday) as we offer adrenaline rush activities & merchandise for customers 7 days a week between 8.30am and 5pm (with seasonal variance).

Pay Range = NZD28.00 to NZD34.00 per hour depending on your personal skill set and experience.

Skill set required:  You must be a current certified Jump Master to the Code of Practice for Bungy Jumping – AS/NZ 5848 or

Don’t hold certification?  You’ll need to provide evidence of either:

At least a minimum of 250 hours or 1,250 jumps of operation as a Jump Operator in the past 3 years, OR
100 hours or 500 jumps as an acting Jump Master under supervision of a registered Jump Master, also within the last 3 years.

Key tasks include:

• Direct, supervise and control bungy jumping activities;
• Set up/maintain equipment & provide instruction maturely and reliably with confidence;
• Mentor/train/role model strong work ethic/skills to Bungy crew;
• Ensure strict Health & Safety standards are enforced and adhered to by all (including yourself/crew/contractors & customers).  You’ll be working at height/climbing/working with ropes and require ability to respond appropriately;
• Reporting and attending interdepartmental meetings is required;
• Ensure memorable positive experience for all Bungy customers by your friendly enthusiasm, calmness & explanations.  Your customers may be in a heighted emotional state!.

The key purpose of this role is overseeing safe operations of bungy activity operations, whilst adhering to strict H&S regulations, in line with the AS/NZS 5848 Code of Practice & Amusement Device License with the ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
