Would you like to work for New Zealand’s iconic and world-renowned Waitomo Caves and help create unforgettable holiday experiences for our customers?

We are one of New Zealand’s original tourist destinations! The Legendary Black Water Rafting Co is looking for three Customer Service Representatives who are enthusiastic about outdoor adventure and tourism to join our crew on a permanent, full-time basis.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure our customers have an “unforgettable holiday” by communicating and interacting with our guests to ensure they have appropriate knowledge of our products and meet their needs. This role is key to ensuring our customers’ experience is exceptional.

Key criteria:

• NCEA Level 2 or equivalent.
• Provide courteous, friendly, and helpful customer service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Waitomo attractions, products, and services.
• Sell and upsell products to meet sales targets.
• Process reservations accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve problems, and fulfill requests.
• Ensure zero till variances and accurate end-of-day cash counts.
• Enhance visitor experience and increase visitor spend.
• Respond to customer feedback and complaints professionally.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to cope with difficult people and situations by remaining respectful, polite, and professional at all times.
• Minimum one year of experience in a customer service environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with a current booking management system.

• Assist clients with general queries about the local area and wider North Island.
• Process reservations from the counter, agents, coach companies, and other groups and individuals.
• Maintain a current working knowledge of all special offers and promotions, understand the benefits, and process them accurately.
• Promote a safe work environment and manage all health and safety procedures.
