Adventure Park Instructor

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, motivated person who loves working outdoors with great people skills for our Adventure Park Instructor position in our Adrenalin Forest Bay of Plenty. If you love working with people in an outdoor adventurous work place, this might be for you.

This is a casual position with work on weekends, school and public holidays and during the week as bookings require.

• Uses initiative
• Has basic experience in rock climbing or ropes (not essential)

Employment Duties: include but are not limited to:

• Greeting clients
• Safe fitting of harnesses
• Safety briefings and instruction
• Constant supervision of clients on the course, checking safety devices are attached and clients using the course as instructed
• Providing brief assistance where appropriate
• Client retrievals from the course using ladders and technical climbing equipment (training provided)
• Carrying out equipment safety checks on a regular basis
• Answering the phone and taking messages
• Park maintenance; painting safety cables, tightening platforms or adjusting activities, pruning or landscaping and basic gear maintenance.

Requirements:

• Reliable transport
• Valid New Zealand work permit
